During a working visit to Jabbor Rasulov district, the Chairman of the Sughd region, Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, got acquainted with the condition of the Chashma-2 pumping station and the progress of work on the development of sericulture in the district, the regional administration reported.
The report notes that Jabbor Rasulov district is one of the leading agricultural regions, where the bulk of irrigated land is supplied with water through pumping stations.
The Chashma-2 pumping station supplies irrigation water to over 1,149 hectares of farmland, which plays an important role in the stability of agricultural production in the region. Currently, eight people work at the station.

Akhmadzoda instructed the relevant structures to take all necessary measures for the uninterrupted and timely supply of agricultural lands with irrigation water during the period of active agricultural work. He emphasized that effective water supply is a key factor in ensuring food security in the republic.

During the trip, the regional chairman also visited the village of Guliston in the Dehmoy jamoat, where he became familiar with the activities of silkworm breeders. In particular, Akhmadzoda visited the family farm "Rogun", created in 2010 by Sharifjon Karimov.
The farm has 16 hectares of farmland, half of which is used for cotton cultivation. This year, the Karimov family has organized the care of two boxes of silkworms and has already handed over the first batch of cocoons to the collection point.

The regional chairman highly appreciated the family’s work and contribution to the development of sericulture and presented the Karimovs with memorable gifts.
"Seric farming is one of the priority sectors of agriculture, its development is under constant attention of the country's leadership. The contribution of such hard-working families is of great importance for providing the domestic light industry with high-quality raw materials," Akhmadzoda emphasized.
According to the district administration, as part of the implementation of the instructions of the head of state Emomali Rahmon on the development of sericulture in the district, all necessary measures are being taken to increase the production of cocoons and expand this industry.
