Several traffic accidents occurred in various regions of Tajikistan from May 2 to 5, resulting in three deaths and two serious injuries, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reported.
Thus, on May 2 at about 19:30 on the highway of Nuri Vakhsh jamoat of Dusti district, the scooter driver, 47-year-old local resident Ravshan Tamchiyev, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Toyota Corolla Verso driven by a 48-year-old resident of Shakhritus district. The scooter driver died on the spot.
On May 3 at approximately 10:00 p.m., the driver of a Toyota Camry, 27-year-old Dushanbe resident Kinonshoh Fazlonshoev, driving along the Dushanbe-Tursunzade highway, hit a pedestrian, Rustam Makhmudov, 51-year-old Tursunzade resident. The victim died on the way to the hospital.
Another accident occurred on May 4 at 19:10 in the territory of the H. Huseynov jamoat of the Yavan district. The Mercedes-Benz car driven by 60-year-old resident of the city of Bokhtar Furkat Niyazov drove into a drainage canal. The driver died on the spot.
In addition, on May 5 at 11:00 in the Matchinsky district, a collision occurred between an Opel Astra and a Toyota Corolla, resulting in the death of a passenger in the first car, 53-year-old Malikumed Badiev. Another passenger was taken to hospital in serious condition.
All road accidents are being investigated, and the causes and circumstances of the incidents are being established.
