As of today, 80% of construction work has been completed at the Sebzor hydroelectric power station. This was reported by NIAT Khovar with reference to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma got acquainted with the progress of construction work at the Sebzor hydroelectric power station in the Roshtkala district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

According to the responsible persons, construction work is actively continuing, all available resources have been mobilized for the timely completion of the facility and its commissioning in 2025.
During the visit, the Minister instructed the responsible persons to ensure constant control over the construction process, taking into account the strategic and social significance of this hydroelectric power station, and to strictly adhere to the quality and deadlines for the execution of technical work.
The Sebzor hydroelectric power station, which is being built on the Shokhdara River, will have a capacity of 11 megawatts. Once commissioned, the total energy capacity of GBAO will increase by 25%.
This facility will not only provide a stable electricity supply to the local population, but will also significantly expand the opportunities for the socio-economic development of the region.
