A rare surgical procedure—laparoscopic resection of a kidney cyst—was successfully performed at the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Dangara District, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan.
The operation was performed by the hospital's chief physician, MD Loik Abdurrahmonzoda, and a team of hospital specialists. The surgery was performed at a highly professional level, using modern medical equipment and cutting-edge medical technologies.
As the Ministry noted, the use of a minimally invasive method significantly reduced the surgical trauma, shortened the postoperative recovery period, and allowed the patient to return to their normal lifestyle more quickly.
Thanks to the doctors' professionalism and dedicated, round-the-clock care, the patient was discharged home just three days after surgery. His condition was assessed as satisfactory.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that the performance of such complex operations demonstrates the development of the country's healthcare system, the improved training of medical specialists, and the successful implementation of modern medical technologies in domestic healthcare institutions.
The department also noted that the staff of the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Dangara District intends to continue to make every effort to protect public health and provide high-quality medical care.
The Ministry added that this achievement was the result of the ongoing support and attention of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, which prioritizes the development of the healthcare sector, strengthening the material and technical base of medical institutions, and creating favorable working conditions for medical specialists.
