In the first half of this year, as part of the State Program for Greening the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040, over 201,000 seedlings were planted around Dushanbe and in other regions of the country. This was reported by the Forestry Agency under the Government of Tajikistan.
It is noted that plantings were carried out on the hills around the capital, as well as along the Dushanbe-Varzob, Dushanbe-Vahdat, Dushanbe-Gissar, Dushanbe-Bokhtar highways and in other cities and regions of the republic.

Evergreen, ornamental, shade and fruit trees adapted to the climatic conditions of the regions were planted.
To ensure high seedling survival rates, specialists regularly carry out agricultural practices, including soil loosening, mulching, and watering.
The agency emphasized that the program's implementation is aimed at improving the environmental situation, reducing the negative impact of climate change, and increasing the area of green spaces throughout the country.
