Currently, 27 major state investment projects worth a total of $300 million are being implemented in the sectors of industry, energy, infrastructure, and agriculture. The region's administrative center, Khujand, operates a free economic zone, providing investors and business partners with the necessary incentives for establishing joint ventures and conducting business.
The forum focused on the investment potential of the region's agriculture. Cotton growing, horticulture, viticulture, and livestock farming were identified as promising areas of cooperation. Furthermore, the region's historical landmarks and favorable natural and climatic conditions are seen as additional opportunities for developing cooperation in tourism.
