In Khujand's 18th microdistrict, concrete coverings around seven trees were removed after information about the situation appeared on social media. This was reported by environmental authorities in the Sughd region.
The materials about the concreted trees were studied by employees of the Main Directorate of Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region together with its division in the city of Khujand.
During the inspection, experts found that the concrete had been laid around seven trees—two mulberry trees and five pine trees. The trees were over 10 years old.

As specified in the message, the trees are not located within the boundaries of the land plot allocated for construction.
Following the inspection, environmental protection officials drew up an inspection report and issued mandatory orders to rectify the identified violations. These measures were taken in accordance with Articles 9 and 69 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Environmental Protection."
The concrete covering around the trees has now been completely removed. Watering of the greenery has also been provided.
The environmental agency stated that the issue was resolved in accordance with legal requirements.
