On the sidelines of the 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the Permanent Mission of China to the Organization held an event entitled "Human Rights and Global Governance." Participants noted that China's recently published White Paper, "Forging a More Equitable and Smarter Global Governance System: China's Concepts, Initiatives, and Actions," reaffirms the country's commitment to human rights-driven development, implementing national plans, and engaging in global cooperation. Participants emphasized that the global human rights framework is facing serious challenges. The international community must strengthen solidarity, jointly promote human rights while taking into account national circumstances, and resist politicization and the imposition of foreign models.
