A national tourism association has been established in Tajikistan. The decision was made at a meeting of representatives of the country's tourism industry held in Dushanbe, reports NIAT Khovar.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Committee for Tourism Development, representatives of travel companies, hotels, restaurants, airlines, and souvenir manufacturers.
During the meeting, 11 companies were designated as founders of the National Tourism Association of Tajikistan. At the same time, a decision was made to allow other players in the country's tourism market to join the new organization.
Umed Saidov was elected head of the association. He stated that the creation of such an organization is an important step toward consolidating the potential of the tourism industry and creating a unified platform for the further development of tourism.
He also reported that the association will carry out its activities in close cooperation with the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Meeting participants emphasized that the organization's activities will be aimed at developing cooperation between the public and private sectors, protecting the interests of industry entrepreneurs, improving the quality of tourism services, and promoting Tajikistan's tourism opportunities internationally.
It is noted that the National Tourism Association of Tajikistan will function as a unifying structure for participants in the country's tourism market, promoting the sustainable development of the industry and increasing the competitiveness of the country's tourism product.
