The High-Level Forum on Global Governance of Human Rights opened in Beijing today. Li Shulei, Director of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, addressed the opening ceremony. More than 400 guests representing over 100 countries and regions, as well as international organizations, are participating in the event. Forum participants stated that, amid global instability and existing human rights challenges, it is especially important for all countries to work together. They called for building a community with a shared future and safeguarding peace, guided by the principle of mutual respect, and prioritizing equitable development. Five subforums will discuss issues related to the implementation of the global governance initiative, challenges to human rights protection in the era of rapid development of artificial intelligence, and green issues.
