In Istanbul, 22 representatives of the Turkish cultural and entertainment industries were detained as part of another anti-drug raid. Three more individuals involved in the investigation are still wanted, RIA Novosti reports, citing the newspaper Milliyet.
According to the newspaper, all those detained provided blood and hair samples for drug testing.
Among those targeted by law enforcement were Miss Turkey 1999 Ayşe Hatun Önal and renowned Turkish actress Beren Saat, who starred in the TV series "Magnificent Century: The Empire of Kösem," "Forbidden Love," and "What is Fatmagül's Fault?"
Singer Kenan Doulu and his brother, composer Ozan Doulu, who previously collaborated with popular Turkish singer Tarkan, also passed the test.
Turkey's anti-drug campaign has been ongoing since October 2025. During this time, more than 250 people, including actors, musicians, and influencers, have been detained at various points as part of the investigation.
According to published data, 77 percent of celebrities who were tested tested positive for drugs.
