Law enforcement officials have solved two particularly serious crimes committed in the city of Vahdat and the Devashtich district and detained the suspects, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
The first incident occurred on May 30, 2026, at approximately 10:00 pm in the Devashtich district.
According to the investigation, a resident of the Devashtich district, Ashurakhmad Azamjon, born in 1990, committed an attack near the village cemetery on the basis of personal animosity, with the intention of deliberately taking the life of Radzhabov Okhunjon Navruzovich, born in 1961, chairman of the mahalla of the village of Metk, jamoat Vahdat.

The investigation established that the suspect got into the victim's Musso car and then stabbed him twice in his vital organs.
Okhunjon Radjabov died from his injuries at the scene.
After committing the crime, the suspect fled, attempting to avoid criminal liability. However, during an investigative operation, police officers detained him in the Shakhristan district.
According to the suspect's testimony, the crime was caused by what he considered to be unfounded slanderous rumors about him and his wife spread in the village by the deceased.
A criminal case has been opened on this incident. The suspect has been remanded in pretrial detention.
The second murder occurred on June 1, 2026, at approximately 12:00 PM. According to investigators, Afghan citizen Parviz Davlatzoda, born in 2001, temporarily residing in the city of Vahdat, had a conflict with his father, Sohibdod Davlatzoda, born in 1974.

The altercation occurred near a fruit stand on Somoniyon Street in Vahdat. During the confrontation, the suspect stabbed his father twice—once in the chest and once in the back.
The victim died at the scene of the incident as a result of his injuries.
As a result of operational and investigative measures, officers from the Vahdat Department of Internal Affairs quickly solved this particularly serious crime and detained the suspect. An investigation into the murder is underway.
