Localized mudflows remain possible in certain areas of Tajikistan in the coming days, according to the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, citing data from the country's Hydrometeorology Agency.
According to the agency, expected precipitation from June 1 to 5, 2026, could contribute to localized mudflows in a number of regions of the republic.
According to the forecast, the danger of mudflows remains in places in the districts of republican subordination, Khatlon and Sughd regions, as well as in the western regions of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
In this regard, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense has called on residents and visitors to observe precautions. Citizens are advised to avoid riverbeds, canals, ravines, and mountain slopes, and, if possible, to refrain from traveling to potentially dangerous areas.
In addition, to receive warnings, recommendations, and emergency notifications in a timely manner, the agency recommends installing the SOS mobile app.
