The representative office informs citizens of Tajikistan, including labor migrants, students at higher education institutions, as well as scientists and researchers conducting scientific work in institutions of the Russian Federation, about new requirements of Russian migration legislation.
It was reported that Russian Government Resolution No. 468 "On Amendments to Russian Government Resolution No. 1510 of November 7, 2024" entered into force on April 27, 2026. The document provides for a number of additional requirements related to the entry of foreign citizens into Russia and the legalization of their stay.
According to the decree, the experiment to collect biometric data from foreign citizens entering through the main border crossings of the Russian Federation, including Moscow airports, has been extended until the end of 2027.
In this regard, citizens of Tajikistan must take into account and comply with the requirements of the competent authorities of the receiving party when crossing the Russian border.
Additionally, a separate application procedure for entry into the Russian Federation has been introduced for foreign drivers engaged in international freight and passenger transportation. The new procedure will take effect on June 30, 2026.
Drivers of transport companies are advised to familiarize themselves with the new requirements in advance.
At the same time, the mission announced that foreign citizens planning to enter Russia for work or study purposes are not advised to enter the country after June 30, 2026, without first completing an entry application through the RuID mobile app.
It is noted that pre-submitting information through the app will allow entry approval to be completed in advance. After receiving confirmation, citizens will be able to purchase airline tickets and plan their trip.
The Mission recommends that citizens of Tajikistan take into account the new requirements of Russian migration legislation and, if necessary, seek advice from the Mission or from authorized government agencies of the Republic.
