On April 23 and 24, due to precipitation in Tajikistan, rising water levels are expected on the Vakhsh, Yakhsu, and Kyzylsu (southern) rivers, as well as on rivers flowing down the southern slopes of the Hissar Range. This was reported by the press service of the Hydrometeorology Agency of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the agency, local mudflows are predicted in the foothill and mountainous regions of the republican subordination, in certain areas of the Khatlon region, in the foothill and mountainous regions of the Sughd region, as well as in places in the west of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
