On April 20, the Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan met with a delegation from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. This was reported by the press service of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation, preliminary findings from analytical research, and priority issues related to the digitalization of the economy and the implementation of artificial intelligence in the private sector of the Republic of Tajikistan were discussed.
The parties emphasized that the Republic of Tajikistan places special emphasis on the digital transformation of the national economy, improving the business environment, and developing the e-government system. Artificial intelligence is viewed as an important factor in increasing the efficiency of the private sector and accelerating sustainable economic growth.


Representatives of the international organization, in turn, presented the preliminary results of the study, noting positive trends, in particular the growing interest of businesses in digitalization, as well as existing challenges, including limited access to financial resources, a lack of digital skills, and the need for further infrastructure development.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on expanding access to digital infrastructure, implementing artificial intelligence technologies in the private sector, and strengthening outreach efforts to engage entrepreneurs in government digitalization programs.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and develop practical mechanisms for implementing artificial intelligence in the national economy.
