On April 7, 2026, World Health Day was celebrated in the CIS countries. This year, an event was planned under the motto "Together to Health. Together with Science," dedicated to the scientific approach to protecting the health of humans, animals, plants, and the planet. The motto reminds us that scientific progress and international cooperation are the only reliable foundation for protecting life on the planet. The events, held under the motto "Together to Health. Together with Science," are dedicated to the scientific approach to protecting the health of humans, animals, plants, and the planet. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
It is noted that the motto emphasizes the importance of scientific progress and international cooperation as the basis for protecting life on the planet.
For CIS countries, this event is intended to serve as an impetus for strengthening a unified scientific and practical space, where each country can contribute through national campaigns and the implementation of healthcare programs.
Every year, within the framework of initiatives in the Commonwealth countries, a range of events are held aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening public health.
In 2026, three international events will play a key role in the program. In April, under the auspices of the CIS's core organizations in hematology, therapy, preventive medicine, and oncology, the International Forum of Hematologists and Transfusiologists, the International Congress "Man and Medicine," and the Congress of Oncologists of the CIS and Eurasia will be held.
These events are expected to become major platforms for international collaboration, where leading scientists from the Commonwealth will present joint solutions in the fields of hematology, oncology, and preventive medicine.
Traditionally, large-scale events are held in the CIS countries during these days. From April 5 to 12, the international initiatives "10,000 Steps to Life" and "Healthy Lifestyle Promotion Week" are held across the Commonwealth. As part of these events, "health routes" are opened in hundreds of cities, bringing together thousands of participants.
In addition, free health screenings, Nordic walking workshops, competitions to create a health-promoting environment, telemedicine marathons with remote consultations with specialists, and open days at medical institutions are being organized.
It is noted that holding World Health Day at the CIS level symbolizes the solidarity of countries where shared historical ties and modern scientific potential are aimed at achieving a common goal: ensuring a healthy and secure future for the population of the Commonwealth states.
