On April 3–4, 2026, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, conducted a working visit to the Dangara and Kulyab free economic zones. The visit was organized to fulfill the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, as well as paragraph 5 of the Protocol of the Government Meeting of the Republic of Tajikistan, No. 2, dated March 19, 2026.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, the visit focused on commissioning new industrial enterprises, increasing the production of competitive products, and creating new jobs. The minister also reviewed the progress of construction and development work commemorating the 35th anniversary of state independence.


During his visit, Abdurakhmonzoda reviewed the conditions created in the free economic zones for domestic and foreign investors. He also assessed the progress of construction at newly registered enterprises and the production of competitive products at existing ones.
It is noted that the country's free economic zones are one of the most important tools for national economic development. They facilitate the creation of new jobs, the introduction of modern technologies, and an increase in the production of competitive domestic products.


Following the visit, the minister met with the management, entrepreneurs, and investors of the Dangara and Kulyab free economic zones. During the meeting, the participants' requests and proposals were discussed.
Following the visit, responsible officials were given relevant instructions on the timely commissioning of planned enterprises, the effective use of existing resources and capabilities, and the elimination of existing problems.
