On April 3, 2026, the 109th meeting of the CIS Economic Council was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khokim Kholikzoda. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, which was held in narrow and expanded formats, the heads of delegations exchanged views on current issues on the agenda of economic cooperation in the CIS.



The parties discussed more than 17 issues aimed at further strengthening cooperation in various areas of the economy and social sphere, on which the relevant decisions of the Economic Council were signed.



Also within the framework of this event, the CIS International Economic Forum was held, in the plenary session of which a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan took part.
The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council is scheduled for June 2026 in Moscow.
