On the night of April 2, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv twice using drones, according to Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.
According to him, the first strike was carried out by a Molniya combat drone in the city's Shevchenkivskyi district. It was later confirmed that the drone hit the ninth floor of a multi-story residential building. The condition of the injured is being clarified.
Later, the mayor reported a new wave of drone attacks, this time targeting Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district. The strikes caused fires. As of 6:30 AM local time, a fourth drone strike had been recorded in the area.
The Kharkiv region was also reportedly attacked on the night of April 2. A drone was recorded striking a five-story residential building in the city of Chuguev. The strike caused fire in apartments on the fourth and fifth floors.
According to Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, residents were injured in the attack in Chuguev. City Mayor Galina Minaeva clarified that three women were injured: one was wounded, and two others suffered an acute stress reaction.
