On March 31, 2026, a joint meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Commonwealth Member States to the Statutory and Other Bodies of the CIS and the Economic Affairs Commission of the CIS Economic Council was held. This was reported by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Belarus.
During the meeting, participants drafted the agenda for the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, scheduled for late May in Ashgabat, and discussed preparations for the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled for April 17 in Moscow.
Information on the activities of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth Member States for the period 2020–2025, the results of the implementation of the Roadmap for the implementation of the initiatives of the CIS heads of state and government in the field of economic cooperation, as well as the results of the activities of the CIS sectoral cooperation bodies in the economic sphere in 2025 were also taken into account.



In addition, the participants reviewed the progress of the Action Plan for 2023–2025 to implement the Memorandum on Deepening Cooperation between the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
During the meeting, the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Bakhtovar Safarzoda informed the meeting participants about the Fourth International High-Level Conference on the International Decade for Action, "Water for Sustainable Development", 2018–2028, to be held in Dushanbe from 25 to 28 May 2026, and called on the parties to assist in ensuring the participation of high-ranking representatives of the CIS countries in the conference.
