On March 31, Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Said participated in cotton sowing events during a working visit to the Abdurahmoni Jomi district, according to the regional governor's press service.
During the visit, the regional chairman of the Khakimjon farm, located in the village of Zafarobod in the Khurramdiyor jamoat, attended an event to mark the start of the sowing campaign. He explained that the farm operates on 19 hectares of irrigated arable land, of which 6 hectares are sown using traditional methods.

The regional chairman also participated in the start of cotton sowing under plastic film at the Olimjon farm, located in the village of Chashmasor in the Mekhrobod jamoat. This farm operates on 11.89 hectares of irrigated arable land, of which 8 hectares are sown under plastic film.
It was noted that the use of modern agricultural methods, including sowing cotton under film, contributes to increased yields, water conservation, and the development of cotton growing.

During a meeting with farmers and industry officials, the Khatlon Region Governor focused on efficient land use, the introduction of modern technologies, compliance with agricultural regulations, and increasing crop yields. He also emphasized that agricultural development, particularly cotton production, is a key area for ensuring food security and economic growth in the region.
The participation of the regional leadership at the start of the cotton sowing campaign is evidence of ongoing support for the agricultural sector and helps increase the motivation of farmers.
