A Dushanbe court sentenced 25 vendors to five days of administrative arrest for unjustified meat price increases, according to the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the agency, despite constant warnings, educational outreach, and legal action, some businesses, particularly meat sellers, are deliberately and unjustifiably raising prices on this type of product.


To regulate prices on essential goods and protect consumer rights, employees of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a special inspection operation.
During an inspection of a meat retail outlet located on J. Rasulov Street in the Sino district of Dushanbe, it was discovered that the retailer's owners had deliberately inflated the price of meat.


Administrative violation reports were filed against 25 business owners of the shopping center in connection with this incident. The court sentenced each of them to five days of administrative arrest.
The Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also called on all entrepreneurs and retailers to strictly comply with the country's laws and refrain from unjustified price increases on essential goods.
