The largest public archive of declassified materials on unidentified flying objects was deleted from a server just hours after US President Donald Trump announced the release of data on extraterrestrial life, according to the British newspaper Daily Mail.
According to the publication, hundreds of gigabytes of information disappeared from the Black Vault website's main server on February 20. This is one of the largest online archives dedicated to UFOs and other paranormal phenomena.
The project has been led by researcher John Greenwald Jr. for 30 years. During this time, he has submitted over 11,000 official requests for information disclosure to government agencies and collected over 3.8 million declassified documents related to unidentified flying objects and related topics.
Greenwald himself stated that he's not inclined to definitively consider the incident to be sabotage, but he's not ready to completely rule it out. According to him, in addition to the disappearance of large amounts of data, changes in access rights to several directories on the server were recorded.
The researcher emphasized that he intends to restore the archive using backup copies.
On February 20, Donald Trump announced on his social network Truth Social that he would instruct the Pentagon to release information about extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
