Today, a meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, chaired by Emomali Rahmon, Chairman of the Security Council, was held in Dushanbe. The presidential press service reported this.
The meeting was attended by permanent members and members of the Security Council, heads of law enforcement agencies and security forces, heads of several ministries and republican departments, as well as employees of the Secretariat of the Security Council.
At the meeting, reports were heard from the heads of law enforcement agencies and security forces on the activities of the relevant bodies and structures for 2025.
The President of the country, taking into account the complex and rapidly changing situation in the world, gave specific instructions to leaders and officials to ensure the security of the state and society, the rule of law, the fight against crime, maintaining the constant readiness of the Armed Forces, improving the service and living conditions of military personnel, as well as law enforcement officers.



The attention of the heads of agencies and structures was drawn to the elimination of existing shortcomings, especially in terms of the commission of official crimes and other violations of the law.
It was emphasized that decisive measures must be taken to protect the state border, prevent terrorist and extremist crimes, smuggling and illegal drug trafficking, and transnational organized crime and combat them.


The heads of security agencies have also been instructed to significantly intensify efforts to train personnel, select and deploy them appropriately, develop highly qualified specialists in the use of modern equipment and technology, develop the country's defense industry, digitalize and ensure the state's cybersecurity, and enhance professionalism, patriotism, and strengthen the sense of national identity and self-knowledge of military personnel and law enforcement officers.
Following the meeting of the Security Council, appropriate decisions were made on the issues discussed.
