On the night of Tuesday, February 17, Russian troops launched a massive drone attack on Odesa. The strikes damaged infrastructure and civilian buildings, according to Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.
According to him, a fire broke out on the upper floors of a residential building in one district. In another district, a store and a service station were damaged. Two people were injured. Lysak wrote about this on Telegram.
According to the publication "Strana.ua", power and water supply outages were reported in parts of the city.
The Suspilne TV channel also reported explosions in Dnipro and the city of Akhtyrka in the Sumy region. Later, reports emerged of a fire in a district of Dnipro. The shelling damaged an administrative building and several vehicles. According to preliminary reports from the head of the regional military administration, there are no casualties.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of 76 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM on February 16. Two people were injured and four private homes were damaged, two of which started a fire, as reported by the local task force.
According to the publication "Ukrainian Pravda," citing local residents, drones from the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Ilsky Oil Refinery, causing a massive fire on the plant's premises.
On the night of February 17, airports in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Izhevsk, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Tambov, Ufa, and Sochi also suspended operations.
