On February 16, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev, who is in Dushanbe on an official visit.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of state, welcoming the visit of the friendly country's foreign minister to Tajikistan, emphasized the Tajik side's constant attention to strengthening and expanding the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries in a spirit of mutual understanding, respect, and trust.
Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted the Leader of the Nation's significant contribution to the progressive development of all aspects of Tajik-Kazakh relations.


During the conversation, the current state and prospects of bilateral Tajik-Kazakh cooperation in various fields were discussed.
Emomali Rahmon, expressing satisfaction with the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries, noted the importance of maintaining regular political dialogue to further boost ties between the two countries in trade, economics, investment, cultural and humanitarian affairs, security, and other areas of mutual interest. In this context, the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings and contacts was discussed.
An exchange of views also took place on issues of multilateral cooperation within the framework of international and regional structures.
