Ornamental and shade trees have been planted in various areas of Khujand. This work follows ongoing tree planting and urban improvement efforts, with the participation of Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda, according to the regional administration's press service.
It should be noted that, as part of the implementation of the "State Program for Greening the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040," more than 2 billion seedlings of various evergreen, ornamental, and fruit trees are planned to be planted in the country by 2040, which will transform Tajikistan into a "green country."

In the cities and districts of Sughd Region, landscaping and beautification efforts continue to contribute to the state program. Perennial evergreen trees are being planted based on the recommendations of industry experts, in suitable locations, and in compliance with agricultural practices. According to experts, when planting such trees, it is crucial to adhere to agricultural practices and select the right location.
During a discussion and monitoring of the improvement process, Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda emphasized the importance of planting ornamental and evergreen trees in designated areas of the region's center. Along with giving the city streets an aesthetically pleasing and attractive appearance, planted trees also help purify the air. Experts note that a number of mandatory measures must be taken to ensure tree growth.

Planting trees is known to be a good deed. In today's climate, where climate change is negatively impacting the planet, planting trees and carrying out landscaping and beautification work are considered appropriate.
