The Russian government has approved an agreement with Tajikistan on medical examinations for migrant workers from the republic entering Russia. This was stated in an order published on the official legal information portal, TASS reports.
"To approve the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the medical examination of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan for entry into the territory of the Russian Federation for the purpose of carrying out labor activities, signed in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025," the document states.
The intergovernmental agreement has been submitted to the State Duma for ratification, and a draft of the corresponding federal law has been posted in the parliament's electronic database.
As noted in the explanatory note, the entry into force of the document will facilitate the development of bilateral relations and provide a legal basis for the medical examination of labor migrants from Tajikistan.
