Khatlon Region's gross regional product in 2025 amounted to 49.5 billion somoni, representing a real growth rate of 108.3%. This represents an increase of 6.7 billion somoni compared to 2024. The region's share of the country's gross domestic product reached 28%. This was announced by Davlatali Said, Governor of Khatlon Region, at a press conference on February 11.
According to him, the budget revenue plan, including the off-budget social tax, was fulfilled by 103.3%. The budget received 3.3 billion somoni, which is 103 million somoni more than planned. Budgetary organizations and institutions in the region, as well as cities and districts, were allocated 4.8 billion somoni, of which 4.4 billion somoni, or 91.7%, were allocated to social sectors.
The region's pension population is 311,669. The total pension requirement reached 1.8 billion somoni, and the funds were fully disbursed in 2025. The average pension was 505.74 somoni, an increase of 37 somoni, or 7.9%, compared to the previous year.
Financial institutions issued loans totaling 6.4 billion somoni to the region's socio-economic sectors. This is a 23.4%, or 1.2 billion somoni, increase compared to 2024. Of the total loans, 5.9 billion somoni went to entrepreneurs, including 1.9 billion somoni to manufacturing businesses.


In the lending structure, 1.4 billion somoni (22.1%) were directed to agriculture, 264.4 million somoni (4.1%) to industry, 161.5 million somoni (2.5%) to construction, 20.9 million somoni (0.3%) to transport, 513.4 million somoni (8.0%) to trade and public catering, 553.7 million somoni (8.6%) to the service sector. 426.9 million somoni (6.7%) were directed to mortgage lending (housing purchase), 2 billion 877.3 million somoni (44.9%) to consumer loans, 105.8 million somoni (1.7%) to car loans, 66.6 million somoni (1.0%) to other sectors.
Trade turnover in 2025 reached 21.6 billion somoni, which is 2.9 billion somoni more than in 2024. Growth amounted to 111.9%.
The volume of paid services amounted to 3.4 billion somoni, an increase of 245.2 million somoni compared to the previous year. The growth rate reached 105.6%.
The region's foreign trade turnover in 2025 amounted to 464.1 million US dollars, of which 205.2 million dollars came from exports and 258.9 million dollars from imports of goods and products.
The region is implementing 45 state investment projects in various sectors. Since their inception, $1.1 billion has been invested.
As of December 1, 2025, 99,797 new jobs have been created in the region, representing 122% of the annual forecast. Of these, 91,024 jobs were created by individuals and 8,773 by legal entities.
