Two fatal road accidents occurred in Tajikistan on February 3 and 4, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the department, on February 3, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz, Bakhrullo Gaforovich Nuraliev, born in 1984, a resident of Gissar, was driving from the village of Hafteppa toward the village of Gissar while intoxicated. While driving, he lost control of the vehicle and struck a pedestrian, Safarali Samadov, born in 1992, a local resident.
As a result of the traffic accident, the pedestrian received serious bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility, where he later died.
Another accident occurred on February 4, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m. While driving through the Dakhana rural jamoat of Kulob, scooter driver Said Kholov, born in 1961, a resident of Kulob, collided with cyclist Saimurod Saidov, born in 1992, a local resident, who was heading toward the village of Khonaobod.
The cyclist died in hospital as a result of injuries incompatible with life.
Investigative measures are being carried out in relation to both road accidents.
