In Tajikistan, three people died in road accidents over two days, January 29-30 of this year, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reported.
Thus, on January 29, 2026, at about 19:30, the driver of a Toyota Camry, Boboev Nazarmakhmad Begmakhmadovich, born in 1996, a resident of the Matchinsky district, driving along I. Somoni Avenue in the city of Khujand, hit a minor pedestrian, Fayzov Sirojiddin Tolibovich, born in 2012, a resident of the B. Gafurov district.
As a result of a traffic accident, the teenager was injured and died at the scene of the accident.
That same day, at approximately 10:00 PM, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz, Khomidjon Abdulvokhidovich Khamraliev, born in 2000, a resident of the Kushoniyon district, was driving from the J. Balkhi district toward the city of Bokhtar. He lost control of his vehicle at the 100th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Nizhny Panj highway and struck a pedestrian, Navruz Kholmurodovich Khudoyberganov, born in 1957, a resident of the Vakhsh district. He died instantly.
On January 30, 2026, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the driver of an Opel Zephyr, Komil Ibrokhimov, born in 1969, a resident of the city of Istaravshan, while driving along the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanok highway in the Aini district, lost control of the vehicle, drove off the right side of the roadway, and as a result, the car overturned into a ravine approximately 100 meters deep.
As a result of the accident, passenger Khamzakul Dzhonikulov, born in 1962, a resident of Istaravshan, sustained multiple fatal injuries and died at the scene. Another passenger, Abdusattor Yusufov, born in 1985, a resident of Istaravshan, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
All road traffic accidents are under investigation.
