The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan reported an increase in oil production in the country.
On January 29, during a press conference in Dushanbe, Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, announced to the media that Tajikistan would produce 18,546 tons of oil in 2025. Compared to 2024, this figure represents an increase of 2,409 tons, representing a 15 percent increase.


According to the minister, 247,000 cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the republic in 2025. Compared to 2024, production volumes decreased by 115,000 cubic meters, or 31.8 percent.
It was also reported that Tajikistan imported 1.2 million tons of petroleum products and liquefied gas from the Russian Federation in 2025. This figure increased by 180,000 tons, or 17.5 percent, compared to 2024. Furthermore, the import plan was fulfilled at 103 percent.
