American-Canadian actress Catherine O'Hara has died at the age of 71, her agent has confirmed.
O'Hara is best known for her role as the mother of Kevin, a boy who fights off robbers in the hit Hollywood film Home Alone.
In the mid-2010s, the actress gained new fans with her starring role in the comedy series Schitt's Creek. The series follows the family of a billionaire who goes bankrupt and is forced to move to a small provincial town. O'Hara played the formerly popular actress Moira, the wife of the main character, played by Eugene Levy.
