A monument to police major and former traffic police officer Yormahmad Nurov, better known as Mullo Nurov, will be erected on 1 Ayni Street in the Shohmansur district of Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. The Dushanbe City Hall announced this.
According to the city administration, the decision to erect the monument was made by the mayor of the capital "for his loyal and conscientious service, as well as for his contribution to enhancing the prestige of the Tajik police." The construction of the monument and the landscaping of the surrounding area have been entrusted to the capital's Department of Internal Affairs. A timeline for the monument's installation has not yet been set.

Mullo Nurov was one of the most famous traffic inspectors not only in Tajikistan but also in the former Soviet Union. He was called the symbol of Dushanbe.
