On January 31, a Garden Festival and agricultural seed exhibition will take place at the Abulqosim Firdavsi Cultural and Entertainment Park in Dushanbe, according to NIAT Khovar, citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan.
During the festival, a bonfire, the symbol of the holiday, will be lit. Residents and visitors to the capital will be treated to exhibitions of agricultural produce, including crop seeds, national dishes, ornamental flowers and shrubs, fruit and evergreen tree seedlings, and industry equipment.
Farmers from various regions of the country are expected to present their products, agricultural seeds, national dishes, flowers and ornamental shrubs, as well as industry equipment.
The Ministry noted that, thanks to the initiatives of President Emomali Rahmon, ancestral traditions and customs that contribute to the development of human civilization have been revived and widely recognized. Among these, national and folk holidays—Sada, Navruz, Tirgon, and Mehrgon—hold a special place.
Sada is one of the most ancient and significant holidays of the Aryan people, symbolizing the emergence of light, warmth, and humanity's victory over cold and darkness. The President of Tajikistan emphasized that "the holidays of our Aryan ancestors, such as Sada, Navruz, Tirgon, and Mehrgon, reflect humanity's connection with nature, relate to agriculture and crafts, and are imbued with ideas of humanism and high morality. These ancient holidays coincide with four seasons, and their main purpose is to honor certain primordial elements of nature."
