Meetings with residents on anti-corruption issues were held in Penjikent villages.

In January 2026, at the initiative of the regional office of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Zerafshan Valley, meetings were held in the jamoats of the villages of Yori, Amondara, and Loik Sherali in the city of Panjakent. These meetings were attended by local government officials, teachers, activists, and residents of these areas. This was reported by the Agency's press center.

During the events, employees of the regional department presented reports on the main provisions of the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon "On the main directions of the domestic and foreign policy of the republic", announced in the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 16, 2025.

In addition, meeting participants were presented with information on the fight against corruption, anti-corruption measures, the consequences of bribery, and the negative consequences and harmful effects of this phenomenon. Department staff provided a detailed explanation of legal requirements and the provisions of state anti-corruption programs aimed at preventing violations in the area of ​​financial discipline and combating corruption.

The events aimed to increase awareness among residents of the region about government initiatives and measures to strengthen the rule of law, transparency, and accountability in government bodies, as well as to foster a conscious attitude toward combating corruption among the population.
