The Tajik Ministry of Health has denied rumors about the harmful effects of the drug Pantogam and its connection to the deaths of children. The ministry stated that these claims, which had been spreading on social media, are unfounded.
In recent days, information has appeared on social media claiming that Pantogam has harmed the health of several children suffering from nervous system diseases and caused their deaths.
The Ministry of Health reported that physical and chemical studies of various batches of this medication revealed no deviations from the requirements established for its release. The drug complies with all established standards and regulations.
"Pantogam's composition does not pose a health risk if taken according to the recommendations and dosages prescribed by doctors. In case of improper use or exceeding the dosage, side effects such as sleep disturbances or headaches are possible," the agency noted.
The Tajik Ministry of Health has recommended that citizens follow doctors' orders and not rely on unconfirmed information circulating on social media.
