A new transformer repair facility, Nerui Istiklol Limited Liability Company, has been commissioned in Guliston, Sughd Region. This project is part of the Republic of Tajikistan's Fourth National Strategy for Accelerated Industrialization and the implementation of the Presidential Decree designating 2022–2026 as "Years of Industrial Development." This was reported by the Guliston City Executive Authority.
The facility is equipped with modern equipment imported from Russia and China and installed in accordance with international standards. It enables transformer repair and restoration with high efficiency and rapid turnaround times.
Initially, the plant operates on a single shift, providing permanent jobs for six local specialists. As order volumes grow and production capacity expands, additional jobs are planned.
According to management, the plant's production capacity is up to eight transformers per month. The project aims to improve maintenance in the country's energy sector, ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical networks, and reduce costs associated with sending equipment abroad for repairs.
Officials noted that the creation of such enterprises contributes to the development of the local economy, improves living standards, and supports domestic entrepreneurs. The executive authority of the city of Guliston will continue to provide comprehensive support to initiatives aimed at expanding industrial production, creating new capacities, and implementing investment projects.
