On December 30, an agreement was signed in Tajikistan to implement the "Food Basket 5" project, under which 7,060 food packages will be distributed to 35,500 residents across the country. This was reported by the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief.
The total cost of the project exceeds $350,000. Distribution of food packages will begin on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan and is aimed at supporting food security for vulnerable groups in Tajikistan.
The King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief has been operating in Tajikistan since 2016. During this time, 33 projects totaling $19.6 million have been implemented in the areas of food security, healthcare, drinking water, housing, and non-food items.
The "Food Basket 5" project aims to provide support to those most in need and strengthen the social well-being of the country's population.
