The Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Russian Federation, Maria Lvova-Belova, sent a response letter to the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tajikistan, Umed Bobozod, regarding the murder of Qobiljon Aliyev, a fourth-grade student at Uspenskaya Secondary School in the village of Gorki-2, Odintsovo Urban District, Moscow Region, a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In the letter, Maria Lvova-Belova expressed her sincere condolences over the tragic death of the child, deep sorrow over the irreparable loss, and sympathy to the family and friends of Kobiljon Aliyev.
The Russian Commissioner for Children's Rights emphasized that such tragedies require close attention to issues of safety and the protection of children's rights, and that her agency is monitoring the situation.
The letter notes that cooperation is underway with the relevant authorities of the Moscow region to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and provide possible assistance to the family of the deceased child.
Maria Lvova-Belova assured her Tajik counterpart that all efforts will continue to take the necessary measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
