On December 24, 2025, a meeting to summarize the performance of water sector enterprises under the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources was held in Dushanbe, chaired by Jamshed Shoimzoda, First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources.
The meeting was attended by heads of the Ministry's structural divisions, management of industry enterprises, and responsible specialists. During the meeting, the results of the water sector's activities for 2025 were summarized.
At the beginning of the meeting, First Deputy Minister Jamshed Shoimzoda emphasized that the water sector is a key area of state policy. He noted that ensuring the efficient and sustainable use of water resources, improving the sector's infrastructure, and implementing sectoral programs are among the top priorities.



Then, reports were heard from the heads of the relevant enterprises, which analyzed the implementation of production plans, the repair and restoration work on hydraulic structures, as well as the financial and economic condition of the enterprises.
During the discussion, the First Deputy Minister gave specific instructions to enterprise managers on organizing accurate water resource metering, implementing electronic management programs, and applying digital technologies and artificial intelligence elements to the industry.
At the end of the meeting, the key objectives of the water sector for 2026 were identified, and responsible officials were given corresponding instructions for their timely and high-quality implementation.
