A meeting between the leadership of the Center for the Development, Publication, and Distribution of Textbooks, a scientific and methodological center under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tajikistan, Mr. Chung Song Shik, was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, Center Director Umed Khasanov expressed gratitude to the Korean side for its continued attention and support in developing cooperation in education and science. He noted that cooperation between Tajikistan and Korea is based on intergovernmental agreements and the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission and is expanding every year.



It was also noted that interest in studying the Korean language and culture has grown in Tajikistan in recent years. Currently, eight professional higher education institutions operate Korean language centers and programs. Furthermore, higher education institutions in the two countries have signed cooperation agreements, which support faculty and student exchanges, joint projects, and scientific and cultural events.
The Center's Director also recalled the fruitful cooperation in the field of textbook development and noted that, at the initiative of Korea, in recent years a number of specialists and textbook authors have visited the Republic of Korea, where they collected valuable materials to improve the content of educational literature, especially on topics related to the history and culture of that country.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea praised the current level of cooperation in education between the two countries and expressed Korea's readiness to continue collaborating on improving textbook content, exchanging best practices, and developing digitalization and electronic production of educational materials. He emphasized that the Republic of Korea is ready to share best practices in textbook development and publication to further strengthen cooperation with Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized that such meetings contribute to the strengthening of further cooperation in the field of education and science and create favorable conditions for improving the level and quality of textbooks and teaching materials.
