Gifted schoolchildren from the Republic of Tajikistan actively and successfully participated in the 17th Eurasian Olympiad in Informatics among Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries, achieving significant results and strengthening the country's position on the international stage. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The prestigious Olympiad was held on December 15-16 this year in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The competition brought together 250 teams, including 750 schoolchildren from SCO member countries. The goal of the Olympiad is to develop algorithmic thinking, expand digital knowledge, identify and support talented students, and strengthen international cooperation in the fields of science and information technology.


At this competition, schoolchildren from the Republic of Tajikistan demonstrated a high level of scientific training, professional skills, and creative thinking. They won 21 prizes, including six second-place and fifteen third-place awards. These results were the result of the systematic work of students, teachers, and industry specialists and demonstrate the stable development of computer science in the country's educational institutions.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan emphasizes that these achievements are the result of the implementation of state policy in education and support for talented youth, pursued under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. Continued attention to improving the quality of education, introducing modern technologies, and developing the sciences lays the foundation for the continued success of Tajik students in the international arena.
The department also noted that the results achieved reflect the intellectual potential, abilities, and capabilities of the country's youth and contribute to strengthening the authority of the Republic of Tajikistan in the international community.
