Fifteen-year-old Belgian Laurent Simons has defended his second doctoral dissertation in quantum physics and is already working on a third, according to European media.
Laurent Simons became a true scientific phenomenon: he graduated from high school at the age of eight, entered university, and completed the academic program faster than his peers. He now continues his scientific work in Munich, Germany.

According to the young scientist, his current research interests are related to quantum physics and the prospects of creating "superhumans" – people with extraordinary physical abilities, capable of jumping like Michael Jordan and running like Olympic athletes.
Laurent has completed internships at leading research centers around the world and has met the Pope and Nobel Prize laureates. At the same time, his parents strive to ensure their son has a fulfilling childhood. Laurent enjoys karting, cinema, music, and hanging out with friends. "And sometimes I just want to dance," the young scientist admits.
His unique achievements make Laurent Simons one of the youngest and most promising contemporary researchers in the field of quantum physics.
