The National Bank of Tajikistan's commemorative 100-somoni banknote, issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the somoni, the national currency of the Republic of Tajikistan, was named the "Best Commemorative Banknote of 2025" at the international High Security Printing competition. The highest award was presented to Sirojiddin Ikromi, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, at a ceremony held on December 2 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, according to the National Bank's press service.

As part of the event, Sirojiddin Ikromi presented a presentation on the topic "When Traditions Meet Modern and Safe Technologies," during which he told the competition participants about the Republic of Tajikistan, the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency, the somoni, and the features of the commemorative banknote.
The High Security Printing competition is one of the most prestigious international competitions, held annually at specialized conferences and aimed at identifying the best innovations in the development of banknotes and high-security documents. The competition evaluates artistic design, technological solutions, and symbolism that reflect the cultural and national identity of the issuing country. The High Security Printing award recognizes the high level of security and innovation employed by the National Bank of Tajikistan in creating the national commemorative banknote.
The 100-somoni banknote will be introduced into circulation on October 30, 2025, and will be the first commemorative banknote in the history of independent Tajikistan, dedicated to this significant date. The High Security Printing Award not only represents international recognition of the professional excellence of domestic designers and specialists but also demonstrates the National Bank of Tajikistan's efforts to implement modern technologies, preserve traditions, and respect national heritage in the production of the national currency.
