Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Daler Murodalizoda participated in the Regional Forum "Asia Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Monitor 2025," which was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, at the initiative of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This was reported by the press service of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
The forum focused on SME financing, trade policy, and sustainable development opportunities for this sector in the region. Participants focused on emerging risks in financial markets amid heightened geopolitical tensions and their impact on SME financing. They also discussed measures taken by financial regulators to minimize risks and provide alternative financing options for entrepreneurs, the development of international trade, the role of regional cooperation in this area, and improving financial inclusion.
During the forum, Daler Murodalizoda met with Shigeo Shimizu, Asian Development Bank Executive Director for Japan. The parties discussed expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and the ADB, including developing the financial system, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, and implementing joint projects. Particular attention was paid to providing technical assistance, involving specialists and consultants, to create a regulatory framework that ensures the protection of insurance consumers.

Asian Development Bank representative Shigeo Shimizu stated that the relevant proposal is being studied and the possibility of implementing such a project is being considered.
