President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Sughd Region to open various facilities, review the standard of living in the region, and inspect the progress of construction work, according to the presidential administration press service.
At Khujand International Airport, the Head of State was warmly greeted by the Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajab Akhmadzoda, and other officials.
It's worth noting that, following the direction of President Emomali Rahmon, more than 12,000 various facilities have been commissioned in Sughd Region in honor of the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence following construction, renovation, and reconstruction. Approximately 2,000 more structures are planned for construction by September 2026.
The President's visit is aimed at directly overseeing the implementation of the region's socio-economic development programs, assessing the level of infrastructure provision for the population, and reviewing the progress of projects that contribute to improving the quality of life for citizens.
