The fourth meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states was held on October 25, 2025, in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel General of Police Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro, participated in the meeting and addressed the meeting, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
During his speech, R.Kh. Rahimzoda noted Tajikistan's significant role in the fight against transnational organized crime. The minister outlined the country's position on cooperation in regional security, emphasized Tajikistan's contribution to ECO initiatives, and outlined potential areas of partnership for jointly addressing pressing issues.
The meeting discussed strengthening law enforcement cooperation, joint measures to combat transnational organized crime, disaster and crisis management strategies, expanding regional and cross-border cooperation, managing migration processes, and ensuring border security. Participants also discussed regional cooperation in the field of new technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence.
