The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan will become the first government agency in the world to implement the Comet agent browser. This was announced by the ministry's press service.
The implementation of the new technology will be presented at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI Conf 2025) , which will be held in Dushanbe. The event is being organized by the Council on Artificial Intelligence under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, at the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As noted by the ministry, a number of national initiatives will be key projects at the conference. Specifically, the first joint AI-GOV project aims to integrate AI technologies into the ministry's activities. The project includes three components:
— digital licensing platform,
– Tajik language model,
— and the Comet agent browser, which will automate interactions between government systems and citizens and companies.
Thus, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan will become the first government agency in the world to implement the Comet browser, the ministry noted.
The second key project, darya.ai , involves creating the infrastructure for Tajikistan's first "green" data center powered by hydropower. It will form the foundation of the national artificial intelligence infrastructure and provide computing power for government systems, universities, and private companies.
The third project is RumiLLM , a next-generation multilingual language model being developed with a focus on Farsi and related languages. It is designed to improve the accuracy of speech and context understanding in AI systems. Synthetic data and rare scenarios are used in training, increasing the model's robustness.
According to the ministry, the project's goal is to create AI that "understands every person" and helps overcome language barriers.
AI Conf 2025 will place special emphasis on sustainable development and environmental issues. All projects presented—from data centers to educational platforms—are built on the principles of green energy and energy efficiency.
"Tajikistan has a unique advantage: over 95% of the country's electricity is generated from hydropower. This allows us to create sustainable AI infrastructure that does not harm the environment," the ministry emphasized.
Conference organizers intend to demonstrate that Tajikistan is among the countries shaping the international agenda in the field of artificial intelligence.
"This isn't about the effect, but about the content—about the fact that we're developing our own technologies, teams, and infrastructure. The conference will bring together people creating a new knowledge economy—from engineers to researchers, from entrepreneurs to government institutions," the department added.
